Job Description for IceCream Labs Off-Campus:
- This position is for someone who has probably built a large system or two and is hungry to take things to the next level.
- We’re looking for someone with UI engineering chops and a keen eye for all aspects of a user’s experience.
- You should be able to design and ship what you think up — from mocks to fully implemented code.
- You’ll be responsible for all forward-facing pieces of the platform (frontend).
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation
- Design and implement hardware for embedded devices and systems from requirements to production and commercial deployment
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources
- Integrate and validate new product designs
- Support software team and optimize I/O performance
- Provide post-production support
- Schematic Symbol Creation
- Knowledge of Transmission lines in PCB
- Signal Integrity Analysis
- PCB Thermal Analysis
- Coordinate with PCB Manufacturers
- Basic knowledge of PCB assembly process
- Basic knowledge of using test and measurement equipment
- Basic knowledge on soldering through-hole and SMD components
- Basic knowledge of reading and understanding schematics
Requirements:
- Maintain, upgrade and modify embedded systems as needed
- Work with Embedded software team in developing technical specifications based on customer requirements
- Analyze system technical issues and develop appropriate resolutions
- Participate in system design reviews and recommend improvements
- Identify technical risks and challenges and propose action plans
- Support in integrating modules to existing systems and perform integrating testing
Job Responsibilities: Key Skills
- Proven experience in embedded systems hardware design & development.
- Hands-on experience with PCB Designing tools.
- Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability, I/O Performance of embedded system.
- Hands-on experience in designing Power Electronic Circuits
- Hands-on with different types of Sensors.
- Should be Self-Learner, Team Worker, possess good communication & interpersonal skills.
Qualification, Knowledge & Experience:
- 2-4 years/diploma experience as an Embedded Hardware Engineer
- Hands-on experience on Allegro /Orcad PCB Designer
- Orcad Capture/ Design Entry CIS
- Footprint Creation
- Multi-layer PCB Design
- Schematic Design
- Component Selection and BOM Generation
- Board Bring-up and testing
- Hands-on with PCB Design and Layout tools
- Hands-on with Analog and Digital Circuit Design
- Hands-on with efficient Power supply design
- Hands-on with Battery management systems.
- Should be able to document all the Technical aspects
- Knowledge of EMI/EMC and SI tests is a plus
